The Queen has set up a ‘Queen’s Green Canopy’ initiative to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, inviting people to “plant a tree for the Jubilee”. So far 111 trees have been planted in Southampton as part of this scheme including 40 trees in Townhill Green and 70 oaks in Riverside Park.
